Idiosyncratic means – peculiar or individual. It is very similar to unique, but you’d word it differently. Let’s think of an example. Let’s imagine this girl who had a talent that was unlike anything you’ve ever seen. She was obviously unique and different. You could say, she emerged as one of the great, idiosyncratic talents of the nineties.
